RomaRo Rayα Black Driver

RomaRo offers three distinct product series, with the "Ray α" line designed specifically for golfers with slower swing speeds. This release marks the first major update to the series in seven years, following the previous iteration launched in 2019.

All four models in the 2026 Ray α driver lineup feature the "Core System."
Core System:
By positioning a spherical weight low and toward the rear of the clubhead, the system generates additional force from behind at the moment of impact, enhancing the ball's forward propulsion.

This design is engineered to compensate for a lack of forward-driving force at impact—a common issue for golfers who may have insufficient swing speeds or who use clubs that are too lightweight.

The lineup consists of the following four models:
Ray α Driver: Conforms to regulations
Ray α Black Driver: Conforms to regulations; features a "W-Titanium Cup Face"
Ray α Gold Driver: High-COR (high-rebound) model
Ray α Gold CT35 Driver: High-COR (high-rebound) model with an ultra-thin face

The Ray α Black driver builds upon the standard Ray α model by adding an adjustable hosel (sleeve socket), a "W-Titanium Cup Face" designed for accuracy, and an adjustable weight screw.

The Ray α Black is intended for swing speeds up to 48 m/s. While this limit is higher than that of the standard Ray α driver, golfers with even faster swing speeds should consider the "Type R" series instead.
